My mate loves them and we discuss them playing ever year. To have them playing a UK fest and not be at Glastonbury is a real shame

I know it's not like for like, but I read more into this accepting their decline than band like Foals and 1975 accepting their plateau by accepting sub slots/headlining smaller (but still big) festivals.

The Killers are doing a stadium tour over here. I really don't read this as "accepting their decline". I read it as "it's Paul fucking McCartney!". Admittedly I don't know how high their stock is over there.

Surprised Killers are subbing anyone - but will be lots of caveats in their stage chat i imagine about being 'honoured' and the like.

Libertines will surely turn up in some way, playing anywhere that will have them it seems.
