Definitely, a very odd booking indeed. I went to boomtown quite a few times between 2013 and 2016 and never thought a band like The Libertines would play.

The Boomtown line up has been getting a lot more diverse (over the last few years at least). I think it'll always be dance heavy but there are a few big stages that are focused on all sorts of acts/bands.

I had hoped Sleater-Kinney would appear at the farm this year but considering at the moment they've got nothing announced for after March, my hopes are fading with every other festival announcement

re: The Killers, they're playing Southside and Hurricane festivals that weekend too, so might have only been able to do Sunday.

plus they headlined RW 2 years ago, so maybe not too pushed about having them back as headliners again

E: just realised it's Werchter Classic, thought it was Rock Werchter, still, same festival site and promoters etc...

La Roux is playing a lot of festivals, I've always missed her but if she does Glastonbury I will make an effort. Maybe John Peel or the park.

She was magnificent on John Peel in 2015 even if I left halfway through to go watch Kanye, but in my defence I had seen her twice in the previous 12 months! 

I listened to the new album on my way to work this morning, it's good but doesn't really deviate from the sound she settled on. I could see her playing Park or Avalon personally.

Splendour is end of July though. Unless they're in Europe for a month (and I don't think they've been announced anywhere) this could scupper any Hope's of a Glastonbury appearance.
