Obvs loads more to come, and the Pulp day is the least fleshed out so far, but unless there's loads of cross-over with Y Not, will likely go for the weekend.Â
Â
Good to see a few curve balls... Spiritualised, Hot Chip, John Grant...Â
Â
What I really want to know is who the Friday special guest will be. Probably very unlikely, but I'm hoping for Richard Hawley or Self Esteem, to keep it in the Sheffield family.Â
Yeah headlining Parklife is around about the equivalent of Pyramid sub or Other headline, which is where I expect Charli XCX to be at.
I don't think anyone's headlined Parklife and Glastonbury in the same year. Some acts have headlined and played lower slots - Aitch in recent years, but then he's from Manchester so likely to be bigger there.
The only issue with that is it won't give them the time slot that taking the Snow Patrol double slot would from this year. I'm going to go for The Prodigy closing after Bloc Party with them being a special guest but before them.
It's probably almost definite we will have one as all the other options around and Victorious get a lot before others as being bigger they have the space for it.
Â
My guess currently is
Â
The Prodigy
Bloc Party
Â
Pulp
Â
C&S Exclusive
Â
Chase aren't being mentioned as much as other names for Glastonbury in the slots they would get. They played Creamfields this year and I don't think they are in the Reading selection from what I've seen. While they are riding the wave I could see them taking extra money to do this over Glastonbury.Â
