Monty Pythagoras
https://www.paulmccartney.com/signup2023 Back on the road it seems Think Australia and Brazil at the end of the year is all that's on the cards for now. Goes without saying he's not going to be headlining Glastonbury again. BST maybe?
JayDiesel
Surely this will be billed as a farewell tour? He's 81 now, and as much as he's a freak of nature, I can't imagine he has much left in him

Monty Pythagoras
Excited to see what we get in Europe. Hopefully I get to see a hometown gig in Liverpool but then selfishly hope I can get a few weekends away across Europe seeing him as well

My bucket list has very few acts left on it - and in terms of the old guard, McCartney was the last on there. So, it was a delight to manage it, and I must count my lucky stars that it worked out. The closing main set stretch - Band on the Run into Get Back into Let It Be into Live and Let Die into Hey Jude - is probably up there for one of my all-timer bursts.

Were there not rumblings of some arena shows in the spring a few months ago?
henry bear
Looking at his most recent setlists, it's mainly the same as Glasto with added Jet, She's a Woman and Sgt Pepper's (reprise)

I don't recall being in the Glastonbury set? But yes. I'd imagine European dates next year. The sheer lack of any major leaks so far makes me think it'll exclusively be his own shows. Thought it would be arenas if so, but history tells me he was meant to play a string of stadium shows ahead of Glastonbury in 2010. I cannot imagine it'll be more than a dozen dates, when all is said and done.

I'm one of a rarefied handful of people who would probably plump for Wings over Beatles material - but ooof, when the mix is this good... CaledonianGonzo
A few additions and subtractions aside his setlist has been largely static for a good while now - and given his advanced years I doubt there'll be another big shake up. Might as well enjoy the man and his music any chance you get. *puts on Now & Then and starts crying for the umpteenth time*

NorthernSoul52
Well, if they're going to come, an announcement around the Brazil run might make sense.
mufcok
Yeah it crossed my mind as well. I remember eyeing up a date in Naples pre-pandemic before they got canned Surely there are some dates here/across Europe coming?
NorthernSoul52
You've got to think so. I don't think McCartney will ever announce a retirement - he'll either just stop touring with no fanfare or sadly pass on - but I would be shocked if he did not plan at least one more run through Europe before then.
