DareToDibble
I’ve blitzed through it, think I’m on page 150ish - just a few pages after 1994. Can’t put it down, such a fantastic book. I made myself stop just before the football as I didn’t want to read it all in 1 night. My god would it have been easy to carry on reading, though. Genuinely fantastic. Edited October 30, 2019 by DareToDibble
MrZigster
Mine will hopefully be in my hands by tomorrow afternoon. A couple of questions as I just can't wait: Is it a hardback? What's the ratio of text vs pictures? Do we think it has been "signed" signed or auto signed?

Hardback book About the same as a festival programme Not auto signed going by signatures I've seen on pics shown on here, normal slight variances

I said a couple and it turned into three. If that's the case I'd love to know how many copies they had to sign. The Eavii's wrists must be aching like buggery. Mine is on its way? the bad news, won’t get to read it for 56days? now I regret hinting to my son that it would be a great Xmas present for me ! On the plus side it’ll be sweet for you both to be counting down to Christmas together. Mines at home, but I’m in America for 2 weeks so there it will remain unread. Bisque
Mine’s arrived at Waterstone’s but I’m in San Francisco!!! Jet lagged read in bed for me when I get back. Glad to hear it’s hard to stop reading!

scaryclaireyfairy
ME's sig on mine is slightly different to his sig on Crazyfool's so they've been properly signed the old fashioned way. Also I flung it on the scales and though I could barely see the weight read out due to the size of the book, it's about 1.8kg.
northernringo
Hopefully today is the day it arrives. I'd imagine the winner will be announced today too, don't know why there would be any delay.
FuzzyDunlop
They are definitely hand signed. Emily's sig on mine is not like one I have seen on here... plus it's really dark compared to others I have seen - as if she'd just picked up a new pen. Crazyfool01
I wonder what the sales are for this ? will it bring in some extra revenue to be used at the festival ? or used for one of many charitable donations ?
MrZigster
And it's off to The Post Office I go... Failed delivery notice. Check. ID. Check. Hat on 'cause I can't be arsed to do my hair. Check. Glad said PO is just down the road.
Gilgamesh69
Anyone ordered this from WHSmith? Still haven't heard anything from them, no "Your order has been dispatched" email or whatever

Michael's signatures seem remarkably consistent, whereas Emily is all over the place (What does that say of their characters?)

That is why I selected ' click and collect ' as my local post office is 50 feet away - 50% don't even ask me for a ID in that post office - saves me from missing the Postman - My book is not due until this weekend.Have a good read. Well heavy and packaged like it came from Amazon rather than Waterstones. Ooh it's like a christmas parcel.

I think there may be a few different readers just as there are a few different writers. I know Lauren Laverne has written a chapter and she said she voiced part of the audiobook.
