squirrelarmy
Details are scarce so far as it’s a brand new festival. Other than being in York the location or dates still haven’t been revealed. More details are being announced on the 25th. https://www.york-festival.com/ If it’s a multi day festival similar to Bingley Festival then I can imagine it being popular especially if it’s within walking distance of the city centre. York does have one of the best rail networks in the north and it’s highly accessible from anywhere in the UK.
Luke Routledge
On the website it says they also do Lytham Festival who had Stereophonics, Kylie and Rod Stewart play it last year. I live pretty local and it would be fun to see a similar family festival with acts of that size.

Rod Stewart, Westlife and McFly is more their bag.

Rumblestripe
The location is York Sports Club, which is a bit out of the City Centre (put YO30 5RE in google maps) from the shape of the site shown on the ticket purchase page it looks like they are using one of the Cricket pitches for the Arena.
