General Laziness, I also love going to look for one record and then get sidetracked by another which then leads down a session of records I was not expecting. Was thinking of categorising them, maybe alpha but maybe genre. Not incorporating new purchases in to the system so I’ve currently got a hellish mishmash of some records in the right places and others all over the shop. It's the Daft Punk album, remixed by various artists. So does it go next to my copy of Homework or inbetween Underworld and The Walkmen? This can be a problem. My vinyl is stored in boxes under the stairs, so I build up a collection of stuff by my player that I've dug out plus new additions until I snap and have to sort them in. Given each box holds about 25 albums, this can be a right pain in the arse as adding in new ones can fill the box, so the ones at the back have to move to the front of the next box and on it goes.
