Govt seems to be saying on the radio today that the 2 metre rule may be amended. Seems to be 2 meteres for long periods but closer together for shorter periods.

Still non the wiser on when I can let my daughters grandparents hold her...

I'd guess to be absolutely risk free when there's a vaccine or simple test that can demonstrate they and your daughter are symptom free but I expect most people will have to make a judgement call well before then.

Was thinking about my folks and more than likely they will start returning to a normality whilst making precautions... think I will visit but potentially whilst social distancing So when I visit I will make sure it’s a nice day and stick to the garden ... I’m going to carry a fan about  so I can put it sideways on and interrupt air flow ... I’m sure that will work :)

Think you're right on judgement calls.

It's a tough one, I'm quite relaxed about it (I'd let them cuddle / hold her now) but my Wife is more of a rule follower!

For Scotland, sturgeon says those within 2 metres of someone potentially infected for 15 minutes or more will be asked to self isolate under the new track and trace regime.

That kind of implies that the risks for supermarket staff etc are limited and just walking past someone .. let’s hope so

I wouldn't be surprised if Hancock distanced himself from those claims.

Definitely.

This might be a really stupid question but if they want to know can a person contract the disease twice, can’t they ask for volunteers to be reinfected in a study? Obviously with a very generous compensation package and support system.

Matt Hancock is doing well today, he even got a laugh out of me. I must be going crazy.

Yeah I thought that too. Appreciated a few blunt answers as well, and one of them made me laugh. He gave really detailed and quite interesting answers. Nailing a presser is fairly inconsequential if you're failing to provide sufficient PPE, but he did do well this eve.

They don't do that, it's so incredibly unethical. I doubt there's a waiver in the world that would actually cover them if someone died in that trial.

I thought I’d heard that somewhere. Thanks.

Would’ve thought if there was no immunity at all then what with the virus having been round for 6 months, then we’d be seeing large swathes of people being reinfected by now. There is the odd anecdotal story about it, but it’s normally due to inaccurate testing or the virus having not been cleared from the body in the first place. There have been 3.5m cases globally so even a small percentage would surely register.

Thats not to say immunity won’t be short lived, but it would likely be at least a year or so.

Did you see the comments today from JVT at the presser? Antibodies are confirmed so now it’s just to see if that gives immunity.
