All Points East Festival 2021

I agree, I think that NiN will be around next summer. Beyond that I think it is going to be interesting. I would guess that we will get all of the bands that were planning to be around anyway along with many how have been displaced from this year (probably trying to do as many gigs as possible to get some money in).

We could end up with a glut of acts looking for shows which will hopefully lead to some very strong line-ups for mid-size festivals.

If I had to guess I’d say new record in late 21 ahead of a few live dates in 22

I think I recall a few months ago the Primavera organiser saying that Portishead were working on a new album that should hopefully be out this year, but it would be too late for them to play the festival, so they're aiming to get them next year instead.

I really hope you are right. Quite fancy a bit of new Portishead and it would be wonderful to see them again.

Social Isolation/boredom got to me, I've made a full half prediction half dream line up for next year. Thought I'd put some potential names out there just to see if they're realistic or if for some reason they'd definitely not be there next year. Please Discuss

That’s some dedication. I’d go to most of these days, and there’s nothing massively unrealistic. Put your CV into their booking dept!

The only thing missing is the usual Electronic day.

I admire your optimism Haha no APE line up has ever been this good. I'd rather they had three solid days tbh rather than spreading three days' worth of good acts over six days

I'd say that's less prediction, more dream. Denzel seems a little out of place there too

I can't help but think bookings is going to be messy as a lot of lost 2020 events will be vying for competition with acts that were originally about in 2021, for a market that might be depressed by a year of inactivity.

Hopefully some good bills that it can be safe to attend can come from it if nothing else.

Obviously not the best statistic but that Tame day has to be coming back with sales that are that high (i assume it sold pretty well anyway) - maybe bombay will be reconsidered or advertising stepped up as that looks like a complete fail to me. APE is the first festival back though so that could help them shift tickets I reckon.
