Just smashed out the first 3 seasons of Only Murders in the Building. Top stuff.

Just got done with Black Doves.

 

Was a bit torn. It's well produced, but at times felt a bit like a flat adaptation of a pretty clunky video game. Helen occasionally makes choices that doesn't make any sense for a spy at her level to be making. I finished it wishing it was one level less complicated if that would make more time to give the violence more nuance, but it was silly fun and the Sam/Michael relationship was sweet.

I wasn't sure where to put this, but I was amused by reports that a plot in the final series of Succession inspired the Murdoch children to take out successful legal action to stop Rupert naming his most right-wing child his heir. Not least given Succession began from being inspired by the Murdoch family.

Bold - did watch, very good. Good to know they can still write a story, even if this one could've been shorter and a little tigheter

 

Italic - not really watched in a few years tbh. Have heard mixed things about this special.

 

Underlined - never been a fan. Was genuinely mystified when I wound up in Barry Island last year to see so much Gavin and Stacey tat scattered around the place.

Just did season 1 of The Diplomats on Netflix. Loved it. Will start season 2 immediately next week.
