Yeah, seems to also fit in with that part of his 'brain' that enjoys openly taking the piss out of his supporters at rallies (I think it's maybe one step on in the 'indoctrination' process, always pushing back the boundaries of what is 'normal'?).

Obviously I'm with most everyone here rooting for a Dem win. Flipping the Senate is a huge deal. And then hoping that number one order of business is bringing a second impeachment to Trump.

Trump has very much walked into the GOP, smashed it up, and left. Why can’t the party see this and oust him? Many of his supporters ain’t sticking around when he’s gone.

Because they think one of the Trump offspring is their best shot at a win in 2024. And they might not be wrong, given that they'd have all the Trumpers on-side based on Trump's history, but with a degree of competence and the ability to control themselves enough to not alienate half the voter base.

An Ivanka or Don Jr running on a somewhat moderate platform (while letting Daddy Trump run off and hold MAGA rallies to his nutters, who won't care that he's saying stuff that's not backed up at all by the actual candidate) would likely win a landslide.

There’s no way any of Trumps kids could come close to winning the presidency. That name is smeared, and the same eagerness to get Trump out this time would be brought again to stop them getting in. People hate him/them too much, regardless of any platform. The damage is already done.

Smeared? He still got more votes than anyone other than Joe Biden has ever got in an election.

And I don't think it was hatred that got all those people voting against him. It was fear. Fear he would do something utterly stupid and destructive. That fear wouldn't be there with one of the kids. They're not pleasant people but they still have all their faculties about them and won't be trying to start literal wars on Twitter at 2am in the morning.

I really don’t think the same people who voted for Biden would in a few years think ‘ah but his kid might be okay’ and vote for them/not vote at all. Regardless of them not being quite as obvious and manic as their father, they’ve been there the whole time, doing his bidding and amping up his base. I honestly believe they’d be pulverised in an election if they ever made it that far.

Polls begin to close at 7est so results will start coming a bit after that. And no polling location may close until everyone who was in line before the closing time has voted. It’s going to be a long night cause mail in votes will be a factor yet again. I hope its like Wisconsin wherein those votes come late and swing it the other way so dems can curb stomp them to the senate.

 

the maga rhetoric about admitting crimes is that this base likes that somebody has been finding every loophole in the system to gain an advantage. They see themselves as wanting to be the same way and enjoy the tactics. It also plays into a person who was on tv for so long and made the false narrative of being a successful businessman, so there is trust and comfort in that for the small minded.

No violence unless there are counter protesters who show up and take the bait. It isnt hype because theyre trying to get all the hate groups into one place and set a trap for counter protests which will escalate after a fale cry of a rock being thrown or something. If there is violence and its against the maga’s then its going to be seen as a facist move by Biden and trying to “suppress the voice of patriots” or something. Even though he has no part in the organization of security for the vote and such. Youll hear its all deep state blah blah yet again. The main thing is that none of these hate groups can carry their guns in DC, so either they break the law or are not going to be as tempted to try anything because they are missing their favorite toy.
