well for now this session is over and in a few hours im sure some shits gonna get taken up and we'll see. lets be glad the other objections didnt actually happen beucase they wouldve gone for a lot longer.

Hollow words from Trump. For one of the few times in his privileged life he has been backed into a corner he can’t buy or bully his way out.  He will spend the rest of his life spreading poison and trying to undermine whoever is president. His pride has been demolished and he can’t take it.

Yeah it’s a completely hollow non-concession with more hints of further pushback than actual admittance of loss. I’m sure as soon as his Twitter is up and running again he’ll be undoing any tiny glimmer of good will this statement put out there. 25th his ass!

Trump is such an arsehole for inciting this. I think his followers genuinely believe they are fighting for democracy because an election has been rigged. If I actually thought that was the case I might have some sympathy for their actions.

Can't believe a reasonable number of Republicans still tried to keep the election fraud lie going and objected to results in the reconvened session after everything that happened. They must have no conscience at all as they saw first hand the consequences of this charade.

I hope this dies down, but it's hard to imagine the Trump supporters just letting it go.

I saw Rudy has fucked up again, he left a voice mail asking a senator to delay the proceedings but he left it on the wrong senator's voice mail which has now been leaked.

Was he always this much of a fuck up? I thought he was more respectable/competent but maybe it's because Americans are giving him too much credit simply because he was the mayor of NY at the time of 9/11.

Pretty much.  I've heard more than a few people suggest that Giuliani was one of the only Americans to directly benefit from 9/11.  What he did and said at the time was the right thing to do and he handled it well by all accounts, but he's been living off that kudos for 20 years.

On top of encouraging Trump to dispute the election when Obama was trying to elect a new Supreme Court Judge he denied him literally saying even if it was an outgoing Republican president he wouldn't allow a quick selection till the new president is elected because that's the right thing to do, come RBG's death he rushed Trump's selection quicker than normal even against her dying wish.

He really cleaned up New York in the 90s. Transformed it (Manhattan in particular) from a dangerous decaying hell hole to basically crime free. And his response to 9/11 was heroic in fairness. He was radicalised by Trump.
