With new variants popping up, vaccines needing tweaking, uncertainty around length of immunity and a need for annual jabs or boosters I'm just not feeling we'll have a good enough handle in this until we've been through another 12 month cycle and reached a 'business as usual' position.

The only circumstance preventing it will be the appearance of a significantly more deadly variant that existing vaccines can't be tweaked to cover.

99% - boosted back up by very positive noises on these treatments usually used for asthma - far better efficacy than anything else we've seen. If that bears out, along with vaccines it's game over COVID.
