Would be more that happy with that Friday lineup, I’d certainly be at Wolf Alice and then off to The Park for the last 20 mins or so of the Manics

I'm unsure. I missed the manics last time for Robert Plant. I kinda only saw him as friends suggestion to me you can't miss Robert Plant for a band you can see any day.

Manic were on an hour or so after Plant finished, I saw both. They clashed with Jack White.

I know there was some reason for it. I checked, yes I was going to see them, then checked and when I realised it was Jack....well no one was stopping me doing that, certainly not even Robert. But I'd seen Imagine Dragons already so I guess Robert can win there.

A prediction since it's Glastonbury weekend. Struggled to think of obvious Pyramid subs so it's a bump up for Wolf Alice. I had been thinking Wolf Alice for Other headliner but them on the Pyramid and Lorde headlining Other probably fits a bit better with the usual bookings for those positions. There doesn't seem to be an obvious older West Holts headliner around yet if The Isley Brothers aren't back so Michael Kiwanuka seems like a good fit as a replacement.

No Reg, but I'd take it. You've managed to provide me with no problematic clashes, which means this line-up is impossible.

What sort of madness is this Wolf Alice, IDLES, Laura Marling and Glass Animals clash

Manics vs Editors vs Lorde

Anne-Marie, Aerosmith and Macca is a nice run.

As is Biffy Clyro and Dua Lipa.

Overall though I'd hope they can produce a lot better than this on a year everyone is seemingly touring.

Yeah I think they will. Hard to tell at the moment without many big lineups announced but I think you could probably squeeze one or two more big acts in there, just not sure who they’ll be yet. I think that lineup has a lot of strength in depth but it could probably do with one or two bigger names to make it stand out a bit more.

Would be delighted with having back to back subs/headliners on all three nights with the Kenny/Walice, Macca/HAIM and Pheebs/Big Thief double acts. Would be a first and a victory for boot leather.

To me it would feel a bit like we've ages to prepare for this and there is acts that could easily play a slot lower etc.

Obviously fair play on taking the time to do a prediction though. I'm certainly not discrediting that. Macca is probably the only reason I'd bother paying that much though given it's Glastonbury over another general festival costing the same.

How much EE's wanting to have a 50% Female artists on the major stages do you think will affect the line up, suggestions so far still majorly Male weighted.

She could use the longer break and that artists will be desperate for stage time to pull some big changes - I'd love to see Gaga/Sia/Lorde/Haim/Wolf Alice high up the bill on Pyramid.

I think there are plenty of acts in the mix / potential which would reach this.

If the top bill on the poster is Kendrick, Macca, Taylor, Diana that’s a 50:50 right there.

Filling out the bill with acts like Dua Lipa, Lorde, Jorja Smith, Kacey Musgraves, Charli XCX, Candi Station, FKA TWIGS, Robyn, and Anne-Marie. Especially with Female fronted bands too in the mix like Wolf Alice and HAIM it should look like a pretty balanced bill.

Yeah I think they’ll still aim for roughly 50:50, Emily certainly made a big deal of that in 2020. I think they’ll also try and have at least one woman headlining each stage like they seemed to be going for in 2020 too. I generally tried to do that in the prediction, I haven’t counted but it must be a roughly 50:50 split.

Let's give this a go then:

FRIDAY

Pyramid: Billie Eilish // Haim // Elbow // Olivia Rodrigo // Kacey Musgraves // Candi Staton
Other: Queens Of The Stone Age // Run The Jewels // Fredo // Carly Rae Jepsen // St Vincent // Declan McKenna // Lianne La Havas // Happy Mondays
West Holts: Michael Kiwanuka // Burna Boy // Arlo Parks // Thundercat // Black Uhuru // Brittany Howard // Snarky Puppy // KOKOKO!
John Peel: Headie One // Mogwai // Jessie Ware // The Jesus & The Mary Chain // Clairo // Bree Runway // Shygirl // Alfie Templeman // Dry Cleaning
Park: Jamie XX // Laura Marling // Kelly Lee Owens // Shame // Romy // Black Midi // Holly Humberstone // Warmduscher // The Mysterines

SATURDAY

Pyramid: Paul McCartney // Lorde // Aerosmith // Crowded House // Little Simz // Rufus Wainwright
Other: Pet Shop Boys // Phoenix // Mabel // Blossoms // Metronomy // Anna Calvi // Inhaler // The Lightning Seeds
West Holts: Kano // Kelis // Gilberto Gil // Moses Boyd // Ghetts // Laura Mvula // Tshegue
John Peel: Charli XCX // CHVRCHES // King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard // Tash Sultana // Soccer Mommy // beabadoobee // Berwyn // LUMP // The Big Moon
Park: Manic Street Preachers // Big Thief // Fontaines D.C. // girl in red // Gogo Penguin // Sylvan Esso // Cat Le Bon // Black Country, New Road // Otoboke Beaver

SUNDAY

Pyramid: Elton John // Tyler The Creator // Wolf Alice // Diana Ross // Sigrid // Herbie Hancock
Other: Jorja Smith // AJ Tracey // Sam Fender // Aitch // Yungblud // Tom Grennan // Sports Team // The Staves // Griff
West Holts: Bicep // Seun Kuti & Egypt 80 // TLC // Celeste // Nubya Garcia // Pa Salieu // Genesis Owusu
John Peel: Idles // Primal Scream // Phoebe Bridgers // Rina Sawayama // Jehnny Beth // Iceage // Tops // The Lathums
Park: London Grammar // The Smile // Rosin Murphy // Japenese Breakfast // Porridge Radio // Flohio // Squid // Confidence Man

Realistically, I think we are probably more likely to end up with Foals or something rather than Tyler but a man can dream. No idea on who the pop act could be so I chucked in Olivia Rodrigo to keep Matt happy! Feel like I could be way off with some of the placements too (sorry CHVRCHES fans...)

I'd be pretty happy with that, loads of clashes Friday evening as always. Tyler is an interesting shout, I reckon he'd be an Other headliner rather than Pyramid sub but that would be a really great booking.

I don't think Phoenix would play that high up these days, 4th/5th down on Other or headlining JP again for them if they're back. Fontaines DC look pretty low down too, they'd be a Park headliner these days but more likely 3rd/4th down on Other. I think you've got CHVRCHES bang on though.
