Listen we need to do Other Headliners, Legend Slot and Park Headliners before we get to vote for Justice in the West Holts Hurt/Heal so let's get a shift on.

I’m stepping down from Hurt/Heal administration after this until the 2022 lineup drops a year from now.

24hrs ago Radiohead were on 165

213 points used on them since

Now on 167 .....  🥱🥱

But this has been the case for many, then all of a sudden.. Its an interesting study in herding behaviour, you could write a dissertation in behavioural science on this thread. A flurry of successive downvotes and a moment of weakness and suddenly the hawks swoop in to finish the job. What sport! I’m living on fascination street!

Other headliners - Portishead 2013.  Competition over.

I've seen some cracking gigs at that stage, but nothing, nothing ever comes close to that night, not even Primal Scream in the pissing rain the previous festival which was pretty fucking glorious.

LCD Soundsystem 2016 is clearly the correct answer although going on form The Chemical Brothers will win.

That was some gig. + New Order same year and it was comfortably the best Other stage headline bill of all the years I’ve been.

Hurt/Heal sounds like a Radiohead song title. It’s very much fitting for them that lots of energy is expended on them not going anywhere.

Energy is not a word I'd normally associate with Radiohead.

Tbh I'd forgotten how loved that LCD performance was, Chems 2015 also gets a lot of positive mentions.  I wasn't at either and the only time I saw the Chems (2019) it didn't light my fire sadly, they are one of those acts that have played at a lot of festivals where I've been elsewhere at the time and the one time I chose to break that duck I just wasn't feeling it.

QOTSA 2011 would want a word, as would Iggy in 2007.

I'd have loved to have been at that Iggy gig, the no fun clip that does the rounds is one of the most Glastonbury things I've ever seen, and yeah, QOTSA in 2011 was really something.  I'd seen them 3 years previously and they were...ok, I guess.  I chose them to close that festival and they really brought it that night.

I still stand by my statement though, Portishead were magical.

Iggy was a huge amount of fun in the pissing rain.

I believe we can make a Radiohead fan of you yet. If you listen to the entire MiniDiscs (Hacked) series not only will you be a convert but they will be your favourite band and you won't know how you managed without them.

Here is volume 1 of 18 :

This feels like we're heading into Clockwork Orange territory.

I wasn't really that aware of QOTSA at the time, but remember Zane Lowe played their 2011 Glastonbury set on the radio and my instant reaction was I have to see this band live. Was actually quite a few years before I got the opportunity to see them, but when I did they completely lived up to expectations. Brilliant band.
