Granted I'm just looking for confirmation bias, because I'll be absolutely gutted if McCartney doesn't do it, but why would he drop out at this point?

Surely one of his last, if not the last, opportunity to do it again?

There's also the Noel G factor. Granted, 2022 Noel is slightly different to the man of the past but is he subbing Harry Styles... really? Strikes me as someone who would agree to support an act he's massively into.

My 2 pence if Harry info is true is that the headliners are Billie, Harry, Macca.

I can’t see them going for three younger artists - if no Macca maybe they’ve got Guns and Roses who are free on the Sunday I believe. 
 

Although if we are talking about acts who could cancel their tours (like Aerosmith) Guns and Roses would probably be a risk.

I've never seen GnR as a "Glastonbury band" but it would certainly appease the inevitable "when did Glastonbury turn into a pop festival" mob
