Yeah, if they were scheduled to do this tomorrow no matter what, then they were ready to go pre doja news. So their easiest route is to make the Doja spot TBA and move forward. They can officially announce somebody later on so people stop thinking its something else entirely. Doja dropping out was unexpected and its something you cant factor. Theyre likely more ready for covid cancellations than something like this.

Surely at this late stage it will just be a case of bumping others up or putting a TBC in the Doja slot.

Not sure if the lineup was out when Foos pulled out but they got The Libertines to step in quite quickly and bumped up Florence.

I’d think it’s more likely they shift a few acts around rather than leave that slot TBA. Seems far too late in the day to find a like for like replacement.

Grohl broke his foot a week before the fest. This isnt late stage at all.

They have a month. Sorry, coachella sorted themselves out with 10 days to go, Glastonbury has the luxury of it not being a headliner that dropped and can figure something out. Bono injured himself with a month to go before Glasto and they got Gorillaz to come in. 

Maybe its just the fear of it being something really cool getting added  and nobody wants the schedule clash now?

I think it's different from Foos and U2 as obviously she wasn't headlining, we don't even know if she was a sub or not. Much easier for a reshuffle.

I don't think she is big enough a deal to derail the whole festivals plans. But I do like her.

Pilton Palais announcement at 1700 with the new Thor film. Which would mean the little one would want to go. Haven't watched a film since 24 hour party people in 2002 on the open air screen

Do you think the poster drops add much to anyone who isn't a glasto nerd? When I post them in our WhatsApp group will get a quick oh cool I'd see x and X is good but they dont get examined so much like here.

Good question, perhaps not? But thinking about the alternative which would be one massive drop of the times and stages, I imagine a lot of people including myself would just find it to be information overload and you won't even pay attention to some of the areas which would be a detriment to them. So as exhausting or exciting as the single posters are it at least reminds people in colourful ways what they have access to.

most people who I'm going with are just waiting for the full line up with times and aren't really bothered by individual stage posters.

This is why this forum is so great. I get much the same on our WhatsApp groups. But I get super excited by them. I like the drip drip of the posters - builds the anticipation nicely
