They did, I did, and I can.

And they were fantastic.

But I doubt we'll see them again unless it's something special. 2010 only happened as a big festival anniversary I think.

Is that because they're focused on Beautiful Days or some other disagreements with the festival?  They have released albums since then - if they were there for the 40th maybe they would have been booked for the 50th - but presumably lots of other stuff I know nothing of!

As far as I know it's not a complete falling out as such (hence the 2010 appearance) although it's probably fair to say there was a parting of the ways, but they are more focused on BDs and performing at smaller festivals.  They're still on the circuit, but doing the big ones doesn't appear to be on their radar anymore.

They've said previously that one of the points of BDs was to recapture some of that spirit of the old free festivals a bit more.  With Glastonbury becoming bigger and arguably more commercial over the last decade I don't see their attitude to it changing.

If the festival were to ask them then maybe they'd cook something up between them, but I don't either party's beating down the other's door to make it happen.

Still fantastic live though. Going to get a ticket for their acoustic tour this year.

Will this be the year Ricardo makes it to the farm?

Awakenings seems to have permanently moved from on or near Glastonbury weekend now, so it's got to improve the chances of many similar artists playing. Not that it did last year! 😂

A Villalobos set on IICON would be something.

Worth flagging that Pavement are a UK exclusive, as mentioned in another thread. Guess I’ll be getting a day ticket for the Saturday then!

There goes my JP prediction - any idea how much day tickets for Bluedot are?

I'm was born in Macc and my mum still loves in Congleton so it's the absolute closest a festival's ever been to free beds and I've still never gone.
