Acts Touring around Glastonbury 2023

Dont know why people want repeats again and again and again. Its great Jessie has a new record coming out. Just played and theres no need. She would have to play at a time that isnt at night and not a stage headliner so its kinda pointless, especially for the show she had been doing in support of the latest release.

People in general like the familiar, especially if it's something they really enjoy.  In the context of this place I suspect that in reality everyone wants a mixture of the old and the new, but if everyone has one or two acts they want to return then the overall view is going to be repeat mentions of acts that have played before.

I don't think any one person wants LOADS of repeat acts, but it's the cumulative group effect that amplifies it a bit.

I saw jessie do songs off her last album so, if she has a new album, I would like to see those.

There will definitely be some repeats on the undercard this year, more than usual.

Many artists played last year because their appearances were postponed due to covid and now they have new albums to promote so they’re doing the festival circuit all over again.

Other examples include Caroline Polachek, Arlo Parks and Squid.

 She will have a whole album of new material out by June - not like it would be the same set

Seems like the main festival you'd want good repeats in an undercard, when you could have only physically seen like 5% of the acts every year

Not like Rock Werchter who have RHCP headlining after last year's headliners, RHCP

Would also love Caroline Polachek again as well.  Similar to Jessie she was great last year, and new album out next week

Its been a while since BBC have played isnt it? Seems nailed on. Where would they play now a couple under other head?

Looks like 2014 was the last time before their hiatus - definitely too long! Headline JP or like you say a couple down from head on Other maybe? They've been recording recently so hopefully some new material from them beforehand should they end up playing.

Would like to see M83 play but they’re in Prague on the 24th and then Paris on the 27th. Could play either side of the Prague date but strange to pop over to the UK twice in one week.

35+ Download bands drop a week today, might get a little something out of that since this year ain't your usual Download, bit more overlap than usual with acts like Pendulum, Kid Bookie, Kid Capichi, Placebo.

We were a bit spoiled by having a lot more than usual in the first drop (and having the headliners leak 5 months in advance), Glasto has made me much itchier. Download there's already enough stuff on there to fill a person's weekend, now it's just gonna be clash hell
