I would like to happily admit that I enjoyed Coldplay in 2016... on no, I was at LCD, that was @Superscally!

Mrs J dragged me to Coldplay instead of LCD. All my mates told me afterwards what an amazing set it was... I’ve never been able to fully admit to myself that I actually did enjoy that Coldplay set. It’s been forever tainted by the knowledge of what I missed.

I was at this festival yet have no idea where I was when he was on stage.

Saddest thing I ever saw was James Brown in 2004. Godfather of Soul, but clearly no longer up to performing.

I hate to break it to you, but I know for a fact (as my mate went to watch them instead) that The Bravery were on the Other Stage at the time (one of them got his knob out).

My wife dragged me to Coldplay in 2005 (and to Travis over Leftfield a few years before). If it's any consolation to you, we are now divorced.

One more thing... The Killers 2019 was the most fun I’ve had watching a Pyramid headliner in years.

It’s one of my all time favourites.

Ah this reminds me.

Radiohead 2017 wasn't all that. For something I always hoped would happen beforehand, I now frequently forget that it actually did.

Sounds worryingly familiar...

That’s not even the worst call I’ve made at GF. That would be skipping the Arcade Fire/Bjork double header on the Other in 2007 to see Kasabian/Arctic Monkeys, on my own.

Uncontroversially, Lauren Laverne is a once-in-a-generation broadcaster.

If only you could upvote again. Lauren Laverne literally gave me back of my love of music and I would love her be my celebrity BFF. As a result of this I can't stand Huey and think he's a misogynistic twat.

Out of interest, what’s your favourite Pyramid headline set? I’m guessing the Stones?

For me that Radiohead set was perfect but I can see why others found it a bit boring. It does seem like one where generally those down the front really enjoyed it and anyone a bit further back wasn’t as into it.

I didn't like it down the front as it was full of very serious boys staring intently.

I went to the back, but because they had screen-savers on the jumbotron rather than the band itself, it felt a bit alienating. I left before the encores. I honestly think if the band had appeared on those screens and those at the back could have seen the actual performance, it would have been more warmly received by the masses.

My two were choosing Prodigy over Blur in 2009 and M.I.A over Skrillex in 2014.

This and played Reckoner and it would have been a 10/10.

Brian Wilson was far classier - he just discreetly revealed one of his plums

Au contraire blackadder: when I left to go watch dizzee on west holts, it actually got better the further ‘back’ I got!

Stones, yeah.

I was down the front. It was fairly good - I wasn't impacted by the sound or visual issues that others had - it was just strangely underwhelming for a Radiohead headline set in hindsight. Other sets from the year have resonated with me more.

Maybe it's just impossible expectations but it did fall short of perfect for sure.

Beyoncé is a horrible role model.

Kendrick Lamar knew exactly what he was doing when he got a fan up to sing controversial lyrics.

The National are boring as fuck live.

Crowded House are Australian.

Saw them in Milan with Franz Ferdinand a few years back, and I thought they were excellent. But they can be hit and miss imo.
