PMQs summed up why Labour are going with the tactic of fiscal responsibility because as Starmer highlighted the Tories didn’t say how they would fun their recent NHS workforce plan. Starmer also highlighted that Labours plans are costed and showed that Sunak cannot do maths. Sunak could barely answer anything instead resorting to asking Starmer questions instead.

It’s worth noting that whilst the SNP ask questions about the child benefit cap they haven’t changed the system in Scotland for families with 3 or 4 children either. So not exactly the best tactic from them.

Yeah I think so, the Scottish Government could find money to supplement existing UK social security budgets to fund benefits for families with three or more children. Apparently it might be ‘too complicated’ without full fiscal autonomy though.

So it seems it’s possible but more advantageous to not do it and blame Westminster.

They can't. They do have the Scottish Child Payment in place which is 25 quid a week for poor kids. It's a largely fixed budget (limited borrowing powers etc) , this one is on the UK gov.

It seems the Scottish government can make changes to benefit payments so it seem they might be able to change the cap on 3rd/4th children.

Totally different thing, no idea why you posted about the SCP when I just have. Try google the difference between devolved and reserved powers.

Fylnn is a talented speaker, impressive how he speaks with no notes well at PMQs. To be honest though, I wouldn't be that shocked if he lost his seat at the next election if things are going as badly as they look for the SNP.
