I don't. I don't think any higher earners should be getting more, no matter what they do. They should be getting less and lower earners getting more. Way too much inequality in this country. Maybe I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one.

I’ve said for ages in here workers should be getting bigger pay rises, clearly people on lower wages should get more but we won’t get that by crab bucketing all over each other. Meanwhile no one says anything over executives pay rises, that’s where the big inequality is with regards to pay.

Then watch as all our doctors decide they would rather live/work in another country.

Are they high earners? They're above average, but not exactly rich are they? Unless they go private or whatever. So yeah they'd be at top of pay scale, and would earn twice as much as lowest earner on full time wage..and I guess if that not good enough for them then seeya. Money can't buy you love.

Mr Zahawi welcomed the investigation and said “I am confident I acted properly throughout” after admitting at the weekend had settled a dispute with the HMRC over a “careless” error.

Sounds like Zahawi needs to use some of that money to pay for a better accountant who makes less "Errors". "Oh.... actually now you come to mention it, I was wondering where this extra mil came from."

There is no way the omission was careless. The distinction is sometimes not all that important but here, given the tax at stake and the fact that the penalty is calculated as a percentage of the unpaid amount, the difference between carelessness (30%) and a deliberate error (at least 70%) is huge.

Sturgeon would have given this man the keys to the kingdom...  as such...

Regardless of anyones stance on this, the fact that this person is a rapist and a violent criminal and the fact that they are identify as transgender are kinda two separate things.

Not it isn't...  The major issue with the SNP policy was to allow this person to suddenly get access to female shared spaces as a right with no challenge.  The danger with these trans friendly policies is the greater danger presented to women and girls from men who could do them harm.  Its 100% the problem.

I guess it depends on if you think this person is inherently dangerous because they were born male, rather than being... yunno a violent criminal.

I'll try again. All the Scottish law does it make it easier to get a GRC. Trans women do not require a GRC to use Women only spaces. This is true throughout the UK.

The benefits vs tax payers thing has been trending up for years though the sharp move during COVID is concerning:

Also having so much tax come from such a small pool is concerning too as it only takes a few to move abroad to have a massive drop in revenue.
