In what way? If he wins, he will vote the same way as he does now. I don’t see anything having really changed.

When labour inevitably start losing centre/swing votes back to Tories they won't have the left to make the difference...and the factional stuff will kick in again. Many on left won't forget or forgive starmer for this.

Corbyn could just be a backbencher doing what he's done for 40 odd years..

undermining the labour party, he's carrying on with the same path.

They need a broad range of support, they are sacrificing left to attract centre, but much more than Blair ever did, and one day they may need their support again.

its a myth that labour are losing the votes of the left, no party is showing the extra support that would cause.

Corbyn’s vote share is on par or even lower than some north London constituencies so in theory it’s the Labour Party people are voting for there not for him.

Those people are already pissed off. Some will have already decided not to vote for labour, others will vote labour and hold their nose. I don’t think this will change any minds.  I do however think Corbyn is toxic for those who labour need to win over and from an electoral perspective more to be gained than lost by this move.

We'll see. I think Corbyn will win it.

BET NOW!

He might well do, it’s not certainly not beyond the realms of possibility but I’d say the more likely outcome is a Labour victory.

it'll be interesting to know if there's an abnormal number of newly registered voters?

And over 50% voted for a man who described himself as a socialist. Up here you can do that and win elections.

"Humza Yousaf will consider introducing wealth taxes if he wins the contest to succeed Nicola Sturgeon as First Minister

The SNP Health Secretary will look at raising cash from land, renewable energy projects and higher income tax for the better off to pay for more generous welfare benefits.

Yousaf, who described himself as a socialist, said the wealth tax plan would be discussed at an anti-poverty summit which would be his first meeting as First Minister."
