Given the context of climate change and Labour’s turmoil, I would be amazed if the greens dont get at least 5% in 2024. Membership in the party has nearly quadrupled to >50,000 in the last decade or so. They will have more boots on the ground and more money than ever.

Plus young people these days are way more focused on environmental issues, and the thing about young people is they become a bit older, and then they can vote. And the thing about the older people who care less about the environment, is they eventually die.

Turnout in a lot of these places is pathetically low...kind of pisses me off when so many people moan about the state of everything and then don't bother voting. make it compulsory I reckon, compulsory ID cards and compulsory voting. Discuss.

Labour loses Slough to the Tories.

BBC are projecting 35% Labour, 26% Tories...so 9%...not quite enough for Labour to be comfortable...work to do for Starmski.

No overall control actually. Clearly a local issue there as Tories gained 16 seats & Labour lost 18 according to bbc website.

Slough council went bust and added a huge council tax increase. Explains the local issues. Definitely an outlier.
