The electorate in the SW are more right wing than in the North so will generally vote for the LDs as they are centre right than Lab who are more leftwing. You can see that with LDs tailoring their policies to favour NIMBYs in recent by-elections for evidence of that. In some parts of the North the LDs used to do well in Uni towns, however they screwed that in the Coilition years.

I’d say they’ve gone more to centre-right to be honest. Particularly when it comes to the trans community and issues like that. I don’t think that’s where most of the electorate are at now. 

But… better than the Tories who are stoking a culture war.

I actually think that trying to blame Hamas in response to a post like mine is lending support to apartheid. He's trying to justify Israels behaviour by ignoring their actions and trying to shift focus to the victims. 

I'm sure he knows exactly what he's doing, as he does play devil's advocate a lot. If he disagrees with my characterisation of him as supporting apartheid, he could try to articulate that in a reasonable way.

But as usual, when he knows he's wrong, he spits his dummy out and resorts to calling people names.

I'm not blaming Hamas, I'm saying nothing excuses what they've done. The sh*t they've done is f**king sick, the c**ts. The whole thing is f**ked. Israel was basically created because Jews were persecuted in Europe and Russia, and Palestinians have been oppressed and occupied since...and it has come to this and is probably going to get a whole lot worse. And I have a history of calling people pricks on here when I think they are being pricks.

Don’t worry, I think someone claiming that you support apartheid is a pretty horrid response to what you said. I got what you were saying and don’t think there’s anything wrong. It’s a really unfair and harsh comment to make.

So why respond to what I said to solely criticise Hamas? You didn't even say "I agree with what you said, however there's blame on both sides."

Ok if you want me to caveat everything then yes I think Israeli occupation and oppression of Palestinians has to end...and that really there needs to be intervention internationally to come to a solution.

But again, still doesn't excuse some of the sh*t I have seen from Hamas.

What do you support in relation to the Isreali/Palestine dispute. Ending Isreali oppresion and occupation can cover a wide spectrum of actions.
