I think Reeves ruled it out and the  Raynor un-ruled it out.

But yes, completely agree, we have disgracefully low CGT rates.

I think this is a good speech (for Starmer). He coped well with the protester, infact probably helped him.

good if they clear the backlog ... need to offer increased pay as well as OT payments ... staff retention and recruitment back from private sector needs to happen also

that would require some huge structural changes - where a private company is running a hospital( as is south bristol community hospital) all of the staff work for that private company.  if they want those staff back to the nhs they'll have to amend the hospital management contract.

i was in that hospital when the private company took over - was just one member of staaff who refused to work for them as far as i know, and the whole place turned to chaos with sh*t management.
