Inheritance tax getting cut next week apparently.

That will help.

will only help the very very rich, i'm expecting to inherit a decent amount soon-ish  and any iht change won't benefit me.

Sadly my fears seem to be correct.  Looks like I have to put up with being called a dickhead.

i preferred to run here so that you could called that - so that free expression wasn't reduced, i feel that discussion is fuller when everything is permitted.

Wasn't you always very vocal that inheritance tax should be 100%?

yep, and it might be 100%, depending what i choose to do with it (i've no idea how much it'll be atm).

i do have plans to gift some to charity  to establish a hardship fund.

but also my circumstances are hugely changed cos i can't work now because of disability -  and i've always thought that inheriting  might cover for my lack of private pension.

just further to what i've posted above......

not having a private pension wasn't as much of an issue when i might have taken a job to get by if in a tight spot for money. -  that's not an option for me now, so i need to think carefully about how i manage my future.

I never had a problem with that.  You called me all sorts over the years and me back to you.  And we had some awesome debates back in the general discussion thread.

if someone is being a dick, its not abuse to say so but a statement of fact. 🙂

Maybe on Mail's website, but Rwanda on front page of tomorrow's paper, as it is with most of them.

Yep, it doesn’t look like the big crises you said it would be friend.

Other than the Tory mouthpieces no one in the media seems to be talking about it and other than the hard left crying about there isn’t much worry about it online. The left are always crying about something though and as usual no one in the real world is paying any attention to them.

They are on the cusp of power where they can change lives for the better but decided to resign over an SNP motion that does nothing.

Sign of things to come maybe.

All four of their listeners must not care much 😛

its the sane alternative to the likes of gb news.

also the intelligence of  the listeners is more important than the number of them.

Yeah considering no one apparently cares its all over the news.

tories care they've got a new attack line the next few weeks should decide how damaging its going to be, at least the leadership are on the 'good' side of the argument. it'll all come out good in the end

Again, it’s not the big crises you claimed it would be. A handful of frontbenchers have resigned and Starmer has kept the same stance as he did before. There will be no other action from this and on the front pages of tomorrows papers the majority lead with the Rwanda story.

Do you really want me to start posting the front pages? You might not like it.
