You're confusing absolute vs relative, I think. So I'll leave it there, as I've got walls that I could go and bang my head against!

I’ve gone through the issues the OBR highlight and the main area you’re pointing out is because GDP growth was higher than expected this year when it doesn’t feel like for people at all. I think most people would see the points I’ve highlighted and realise that the picture isn’t very positive at all. It only seems to be Tories that are trying to paint the economy/Statement as better than it is so go for it.

I see a certain Braverman is using the latest migration figures to have a pop at the government, because she was no where near government when these numbers were going up.

They are expected to be at a peak and will likely settle back to 300k (saw that somewhere)...it went up post pandemic with non eu migration to fill health/social care vacancies, and there was also numbers coming from Ukraine/HongKong. We can cut numbers, but will likely damage the economy. High immigration numbers has likely helped keep the economy out of a recession this year.

But, these numbers obviously upset people for a variety of reasons, look how people are voting across europe. Labour are saying these numbers are too high for electoral reasons. People don't like immigrants, ignoring the fact that without them our beloved NHS wouldn't function.
