If she does follow that route and ends up as "Boris without the charm" (what a title!)  then we're in for interesting times ahead, especially on top of the bleak midwinter.

Yeah, I don't know how much attacking the BBC and woke etc works for her, when there's so much other shit going on.

friend of mine used to deliver fergal's newspapers and hear him singing in the house., dunno if he still does but he used to live in fleet in hampshire, a horrible town, but not too far from some nice chalk rivers (fergal's thing, for fishing)

(fergals thing)

rumours about IDS and Redwood getting cabinet roles too...ugh.

Redwood arguing we need to spend like crazy in the telegraph today. Saying our fiscal rules were really only there to keep inline with the EU's fiscal stability pact and now we've left it doesn't matter.

Grim. Are we going to go full circle with the Tories leaving Labour a note saying "Sorry there is no money left we've spent it all"

Grim.

Presumably only spending on things which may enrich their donors?

If that's the cabinet the satire writers will have a great winter 😊

Perhaps now is the time for Mogg to talk about the other part of his heritage which he keeps to himself

i think they've only announced reversing Rishi's NI and corporation tax rises so far. Bigger issue for me though is the U.K will probably have to join one of the trading blocks at some point so any move away from the EU probably takes us towards NAFTA and the U.S.

autumn election? or stick it out and hope things improve by 2024?

an election would be risky, tories have been trailing in the polls for month, most tory mps wouldn't want it, cos they don't want to lose their job.

yeah, probably...they'll probably hope that things start improving for the economy next year and they'll be able to say this is down to Truss' genius economic plan.

whatever i think lots of people will think the tories do ok with cost of living, cos things won't be as bad as a lot of the doom-mongering.
