Some on the left didn't like the eu whatever corbyn thought. He still campaigned to remain, and most of the younger people who joined labour because of corbyn also wanted remain..it is the older union types who wanted out.

he barely  campaigned for rewmain, he said vote remain but the eu is awful.

Starmer speech soon. So exciting. Will people be shouting c**t at him like last time?

They should shout idiot at him because he's trying to compete with the tories with growth.

what's he going to say, "Vote Labour if you don't want growth!"?

(although from an environmental point of view maybe no growth is better?)

His whole speech is going to be about promising growth. There's no way to guarantee it'll happen, most recent govts have promised growth and failed to deliver it, Cos no one knows how to make it happen!

yeah, but he didn't say eu was awful. Maybe he could have been more enthusiastic, but he wasn't leader of the remain camp, he was leader of Labour.

He pretty much did say the EU was awful, that first speec was embarrassing. And as leader of the opposition he should have been leading the opposition. Not saying "it's ok to vote leave"
