Sunak winning and Johnson fucking off has pretty much reversed the moron premium, and maybe cuts won't have to be that savage...but still, future looks pretty austere when public services are crying out for more cash.

cos the tories have been banging on about having the electorate's mandate, reckon they might fuck themselves with un-mandated cuts.this lot have been superb at destroying their own attack angles.

well, they can always argue that any fiscal changes are due to unplanned for events, such as covid, Russia and Trussterfuckonomics. And they may well win the argument again like they did after the financial crash...just have to see how big and deep some of the cuts go, he may well postpone them if markets continue to stabilise.

I feel I should be out protesting but I can't find a reason. Sunsk put in place payments for the cost of living that really are helping us benefit scroungers.

I would like to see a reversal on the NI and PAYE cuts as long as the money is ring fenced fir the NHS and Social Care. I maybe wrong but I seem to remember in the 90s the Libs campaigning on a ticket of increasing PAYE by a penny but use that to fund the NHS.

I won't be voting Tory but I am willing to give Sunak the benefit of doubt until he fucks me in the arse without even the option of a reach around.

After the last financial crash, though, they were able to blame Labour. Yes we know it was bollocks but loads of people bought that whole "Labour caused this" angle. They don't have that now.

“The mess left behind by the last Labour government” was a phrase I heard so many times it’s burned into by brain!

One annoying part of that is the whole note left behind 'there is no money left' as that note always gets left behind as a running joke and the Tories used it to their advantage.

So today Sunak will appointed PM, without a single policy announcement just the promise of difficult economic times ahead. Meanwhile I doubt very much whether he personally will feel the brunt of those economic woes.

It’s all quite demoralising, I find. The Tories appoint one PM that is a disaster, they move on expecting us to do the same and then appoint another PM. That PM is then a disaster and rinse repeat. Whilst nothing changes for the better.

I wish anything made a difference and there would be some consequences for their actions yet there isn’t and we are expected to just forget about it all. I wish it could change.
