If you just book a normal National Express coach from London to Winchester, what are you options on arrival? Anyone know? It is about £50 cheaper booking the normal busses from East Anglia than booking it through the official "to the festival" National Express ticket.

Shuttle bus from the train station is £10 return.

Some more self confirms for you:

  • Dub Pistols
  • Duncan Disorderly & the Scallywags
  • Bridge City Sinners
  • O.B.F Sound System
  • Town of Cats
  • Earthling
  • Crossy (Born on Road)

Speculation:

The Libertines and Pendulum have Boomtown shaped holes in their tours, so speculatively could be carry overs from 2020. Candi Staton was on the 2020 lineup, and is in the UK on the Friday.

Could Gorillaz headline again so soon? Did they go down well in 2018?

I would have thought it’s a bit soon to have them back,  they had a big crowd but the sound was a bit rubbish, and they play a lot of their B sides. Which is great if you’re really, really into Gorillaz. Lots of people left pretty early on.

Never mind, APE keep billing them as a “UK festival exclusive”, so I’d say it’s pretty unlikely they’re gonna show up elsewhere a week before their exclusive headline slot in London.

No B sides, but a lot of new stuff, which is testing if you are not a big fan I guess https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/gorillaz/2018/the-matterley-bowl-winchester-england-43e8b3ff.html

Fair play to Damon for bringing Gruff SFA, Shaun Ryder, De La Soul etc. out though

I really enjoyed the set, but i'd prepared for it by listening to The Now Now a lot prior to the set. They also played pretty much all of their well known songs aside from 19-2000, but i think people expected them to start with Feel Good Inc, Clint Eastwood or Dare, which they were never going to do.

All of these acts have now either already self confirmed, or are "regulars" who might as well have been. A good friend of mine has been on a mass DM campaign of suspected artists, and helped dig a lot of these extra names out.

It says in FR (not UK), like the night before. They could play 12 or 13, but you would think they'd have listed if it that were the case.

Maybe wishful thinking from me, they were there 18 & 19.

Mad Apple Circus have confirmed on their tour page. Which means imperial leisure will Probably play too seeing as they share 90% of their band

Decided to try and bag a ticket for Boomtown this year. Always thought it was better when it was all connected together in the bowl, and hoping the lack of lineup will drive away the ketamine and DnB addicted kind of person that I used to be 😂
