Had a look and noticed that the Ride concert is down as TBC as I'm sure it was going to be at Poble Espanyol

I wonder if we will have more names before the year is out. Certainly the Summer is fully over in Spain now and back to normality...

This is probably asking for too much already because the line up is stacked enough as it is but it looks like LCD Soundsystem are cooking up something now and returning for a run of US shows end of this year

Still have very fond memories of that amazing show in Barts. Would love to see them at a different venue, ideally Poble Espanyol but I think it's pretty unlikely they'd add a name like LCD on top, but they could replace a big name dropping out (which I think is pretty inevitable).

Strange that Ride have been removed from the Poble Espanyol line-up. 
Wasn't Cuco also due to play Poble? I've noticed his name removed too.

I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few British acts dropping out due to the Visa issues.

I think some of the smaller UK acts will bypass Spain now.

The likes of Mogwai will stay the course.

Doesn't mean it's not total lunacy...

First time at PS, and I wonder how predictable the time table is. I'd hate to miss Pond for the third time. Bands like that tends to perform early / late? Also, the band members will perform the same day with Kevin as Tame Impala, maybe it affects their scheduling?

Do you think this new Berlin festival would affect Strokes performing the 2nd week of Primavera? Like festival is at the same time of the 2nd week lol

They have played around 7pm on the main stage (2017), same time on the tinyest stage (2019), 2am on a secret stage (2017 again) and I'd say 7pm again on 2014. The thing is, with Tame Impala overlaping several members and given that Parker will play at 11pm at the earliest the most likely scenario will be Pond playing again early on the afternoon, so expect another 7pm set.

Strokes play Barcelona June 10th and Berlin June 12th, thats a completely normal touring schedule.

I guess the UK touring crisis will only worsen in the coming year. I can imagine PS being able to work something out, lobbying the government and supplying domestic crews (and gear) for UK acts and UK acts might share crews too. But I can't imagine the UK government moving an inch on the issue, as they simply don't care. Brexit has proven to be what everyone had projected it to be: a total disaster for everyone except the enormously wealthy and people who care about the colour of passports.

i wonder if the weekender announcement that is now delayed to this friday is delayed for the reason of the touring plans for UK bands, or because of a health announcement on friday?

Going by their email last week, it's the announcement by the Valencian regional authorities on Oct 8 but the visa shitshow highlighted in the NME piece above is surely a major factor too. The current covid rules are up to midnight Oct 8 and Oct 9 is the regional day and a holiday here so there is some optimism out there about a further relaxation of the rules. Bit of a legal minefield but they might require the digital covid cert for entry to indoor events.

Viagra Boys have listed the Weekender on their upcoming tour dates - the first act to let slip they are playing? Surprising there haven't been more.
