I'm a newbie to this festival so sorry if I'm covering old news here.

 

With A La Ciutat, does that require separate tickets/passes? Or can I just get in with my Weekend 2 wristband? I arrive a couple of days early, and wouldn't mind a few bonus gigs!

all the concerts "a la Ciutat" are included in your weekend ticket. We still don't know if they will do some kind of reservations for the biggest ones like Beck or Interpol but normaly they don't. You'll just have to come to the venue as soon as you can.

We're staying an extra day in Barca for cheaper flights so an extra Gizzard gig is a great freebie.

Roosevelt will probably be added back in for this I'd have thought, after they've played their Apolo show in Barcelona this month.

What makes you think that? I would be ecstatic if Roosevelt was at PS, but other bands that are playing Barcelona this spring (as part of Primavera tours) have been already announced for PS without any "tactical waiting", so I rather don't hold my breath.

Was just speculating as they have some tour gaps during the festival, although you’re probably right.

Staying a couple of nights before the start of the festival.

Have a hotel booked in Gracia. I've never been to Barcelona before, is this a bit out of the way? Seen some mixed views online. 

Debating whether to cancel it and look for something else.

Gracia is wonderful and Barcelona is a compact city.

Depends which part of Gracia, what’s your closest metro?

It's pretty normal that popular gourmet restaurants release tables three months ahead. Barcelona is a really nice city if you love to experience great food. 

The ones I have booked this year is:
- Disfrutar: been here twice, one of the best in the world.
- Direkte: never visited
- Lasarte: never visited

Great place I've been before, that's still open (fuck covid):
- Cinc Sentis: gourmet
- Frankie Gallo Cha Cha Cha: pizza place, close to the Apolo venue
- Fismuler: casual gourmet
- Ten's: tapas
- Bar Brutal: wine bar and great courses to share
- Teòric: tapas
- Auto Rosellon: tapas

Good part of the world, though be aware that's the lower part of Gracia and feels more like Eixample than the classic Gracia villagy feel (albeit you can walk there easily).

That's only about a 15 minute walk at a push to Glories and the all night tram runs there from the festival. Plus Verdaguer is direct to the festival site on the metro.

Not as convenient as staying in Poblenou or directly on the tram line but definitely nothing wrong with your location.

Hey random question- does anyone remember if in the past there were any non emergency exits in the Moroder area? Looking at the map there are several listed as emergency but can’t tell if they’re general use. Trying to figure out commute times for a hotel a couple blocks away on the southwest side of the forum.

You need to go out the main exit but it doesn't add that much time in the scheme of things.

And in any case the Mordor acts are not among the last stages to finish, so I usually find I'm pretty near the main exit when it's time to leave anyway.

Which of them have a decent price? I mean not more than 10 euros per meal, last time when I was there you were able to eat for 10 euros

Not more than 10 euros? Well, Frankie Gallo Cha Cha Cha is around 10-15 euros. Auto Rosellon is pretty cheap for the food you get. They have a set menu for just 18 euros!

Can give you some cheap eats tips:
- Taco Alto: decent tacos, and have several locations
- Little Fern: great breakfast/brunch place
- Black Lab: gastro/burger and craft beer
- Tlaxcal: another tacos place
- Three Marks Coffee: breakfast/brunch place with great coffee
- Parking Pizza: not been here, but it's on my list for this year
