ConfidenceMan
There's nothing quite like reading these lists to make you realise how broad a spectrum this festival covers. Here's me thinking my Thursday is gonna be quiet and some of ye are gonna have you're busiest day then. And that's even before they add the Beatles to replace Massive Attack. Are we gonna get a festival setlist of first 4 album bangers Well they’ve got a new album in the works but that presumably won’t be out before the festival, so I’m guessing a mix of their previous albums with a couple of new unheard songs. If I had to divvy it up between albums, I’d say first two albums - 0 songs, Alligator - 1, Boxer - 1, High Violet - 2, TWFM - 2, Sleep Well Beast - 2, IAETF - 4, new songs - 3 (assuming they have 15 songs like last time). They usually seem to favour the newer albums so you’re probably out of luck if you’re expecting a proper ‘greatest hits’ set from them, but maybe we’ll get lucky. Although I liked it, likewise in hoping they keep the last album material to a minimum. Not their best work.

Interested to see what happens to the IAETF songs with other vocalists on them, they might just bin them off or let Matt sing them. I've got a feeling only Rylan, Light Years, You had your soul will be the mainstays from that album and they'll add in a few others here and there. I love where is her head but unless the female vocalists is a mainstay I can't see it working?
xxialac
We'll know about the National playlist in advance as they are playing Paris a couple of days before. Think @FloorFillerhas called it right.
Gregorick
So with the three south American lineups being released next Wednesday, I'm going to assume we don't hear any more updates on PS Barcelona or Porto until at least the week after. I know that PS are usually pretty quiet with updates and news but I have to say I expected a bit more info by this point especially seeing as it's been so long since this event was originally announced. It does make me fear a lot of changes to lineup/stages etc. Just for a quick example, in the lead up to PS2019 the official youtube channel uploaded videos and the official Primavera website added news on: Jan 31st: Changes to the lineup. Feb 8th: A little hype vid. Feb 20th: Another one. Mar 5th: Another one. Apr 1st: A video outlining the El Punto Stage. Apr 5th: Miley Cyrus added. Apr 9th: A video about 'classic' PS bands. Apr 10th: Details about the Primavera Pro exclusive acts and events. Apr 16th: News about the food lineup at the festival. Apr 24th: Information about the free program before the festival. Apr 30th: A video outlining the Seat Village Stage. After this we got four more videos about genres at PS19 and one about the UN SDG Action Campaign. On the 8th May we got the Heineken Stage lineup. So far this year we have 0 videos on Youtube and one news article detailing the new ticket entry, that's a big dropoff in content and information for an event that is at least three years in the making. TLDR; Can we get a crumb of information please? Edited April 22, 2022 by Gregorick Wrong info/Edited for clarity

I imagine there is some shifting around with the acts playing, some that we know of, some that haven't been announced yet - but I don't see the festival being cancelled? I don't really know where that's come from?

I will edit that for clarity as I don't realistically think that will happen just getting very squirmy about it all as we get so close. I still kick myself sometimes that I'm finally going to this festival so I get where you're coming from on that front. BenG92
You have to hope they're just busy scrambling for replacements behind the scenes and have nothing to show yet. Us Forum detectives already came up with a gigantic laundry list of replacements that weren't possible, they've had to do the same!
xxialac
It is a concern to me that they havent put out things like Pro or Bits. Suggests they are struggling behind the scenes. Probably consequence of daunting task of double edition + changes in staff + more cancellations than pre covid.
KGeedora
Seeing tours cancelled because of a crew member testing positive for COVID is testing my general anxious self. It's just such a new world we're going to have a festival in.

It's just such a new world we're going to have a festival in. I went to a big festival end of last Summer and I think only a couple of acts cancelled the same week because of Covid. Think the bigger issue this year will be acts postponing their tours ahead of time rather than at the last second. We've seen quite a lot of that already but it hasn't been anywhere near as bad as I feared.
BenG92
New King Gizzard dropped today. 1hr20 of goodness. These guys could play an entire festival day of music and not run out at this point, it's crazy. Cannot wait to see them.

Last couple of times I've seen them Eve Owen has been practically a band member, and I feel like I've seen Lisa Hannigan with them too (although can't really remember). Eve is great on those songs.
