Ok. So apart from a full scale riot with travellers setting fire to the place, a gangland shooting and some bins getting kicked over...

... there was that time in 2008 when the sub-headliner punched someone in the crowd...

Being serious for a sec, you can categorise most of the trouble as being pre-megafence.

I think the conversation has digressed somewhat. To draw a line under it, the article suggested that the Pyramid crowd is the star of the show and I disagree.

Anyway, Live at Worthy Farm, who's the special guest? Gotta be someone significant, otherwise why keep it secret? My money's on Taylor Swift, who'll also announce her Sunday night headline set in 2022. Discuss.

There was the time a young lad was wandering through the markets kicking all the painted bins over , he must have done 10 before security managed to stop him.

Reminds me of Macca's reply to Conan O'Brien's question whether he'd ever gone all rock star and thrown his TV out of the window and trashed the room. "Well once when I was having breakfast the morning after a gig, I deliberately swiped my hand across the plate and knocked the scrambled egg onto the floor. I was quite a wild one in my time you know ..." 🙂

From the blurb.

"The ground-breaking, five-hour extravaganza will be interspersed by a spoken word narrative, written and delivered by some very special guests, guiding Festival-goers on a journey through the sacred valley in Somerset."

I'm hoping they do a wander between stages between sets and stumble across the likes of Beans On Toast, Mik Artistik, Billy Bragg, John Hegley, Phil Jupitus, etc. along the way (you know. The regulars). They've already got the ticket money right? Nothing stopping them.

_______

I've just tried to book a ticket and the link just gives me a blank page. Hope this isn't because of my antiquated desktop (Chrome on Vista OS. Intel Core 2 Quad @ 2.4GHz. Wired not WiFi. (It was blinding when I bought it around 2009)). Not looking good for me being able to actually stream the thing is it!? I've booked the evening off work. Prematurely maybe.

Does anyone know if us Brits are getting this live, or is it being pre recorded? Apologies if this has been covered.

I believe it's all pre-recorded but you can only watch it at the set time (i.e. it doesn't hang around for you to watch at a later date).

That’s something I hadn’t considered - that we might get the first reveals of 2022. Surely at least one or two headliners are already locked in, even if Covid relayed caveats apply.
