Isley Brothers 2021 tour has been cancelled but looks like - at the moment at least - that they're not rescheduling it and are issuing refunds.

A wee bit late to it  but been listening to the Emma-Jane Thackray album quite a bit and it's very much got the soaring psychedelic jazz vibes that fit WH like a glove.

Definitely a potential, but I thought the assumption was he would be turning up on El Pointo?

He was scheduled for El Pointo in 2020. 

Wherever he shows I doubt it'll be nighttime given that - when all said and done - he's an elderly jazz fusion exponent, which wouldn't be an evening concluder for a lot of folk.

Bicep seem to be a popular suggestion for the more electronic act they have most years.

I agree but not entirely convinced because Simz / Bicep / Kiwanuka seems a little too modern for West Holts...

The Specials seem to be getting a few predictions but does WH ever even have ska on it? I remember people putting Madness down for it in 2016, too, after the first poster drop, and found that strange.

That's true. But I'm not sure who is touring that would be a more 'heritage' WH headliner.

Specials were down for Pyramid in 2020 right? If they’re rebooked I imagine they’ll be back there again rather than on WH.

But yeah, think there needs to be an oldie on there for sure. Don’t think there’s been a year in a long time without a heritage type act headlining one night.

There was fuck all about when I tried looking. I saw Sister Sledge were about and wondered if they could do it but their slots at other festivals made them seem too small for it.

Chaka Khan was lined up for it in 2020, weren’t she? Think she’s exclusive somewhere else, though. Love Supreme or whatever it’s called, maybe.

Yeah, sorry worded that poorly, someone said Erykah Badu or Chaka Khan (can’t remember which) was lined up for it in 2020 but seemingly dabbed down and was replaced before the lineup dropped.

Think TLC are still looking likely for Glasto. Not sure where they were lined up for in 2020.

Grace Jones has a single UK date early June, would make a great WH headliner.

As would Damian Marley but he's only got a couple of dates scheduled in August. 

Both unlikely tbh, just throwing names out there.

This is a bit of a non-answer considering they were a no show, but Toots and the Maytals were on the bill for 2017, so ska and West Holts has a precedent.
