bunnyv
The purple names could be the bigger a38/dance arena acts right? Certainly not main stage in my opinion with a couple exceptions

He was in the dance arena last time, though I have no clue how his status might have changed. I don’t mind as long as he’s not on the main stage

billybigballs
Got to be honest and say thats a really poor announcement in my opinion. How can you have: three rock/indie headliners two pop headliners one dance headliner And then fill most of the other slots with dance acts? Seems unbalanced. Davidoff
I feel there Is a missing middle line up. We had a few older recognised acts before. I am still thinking a rap act to be added. Miles Kane, Glass Animals, Monsters and Men, Keane, Daughter,Foster the People , FKA, Foals, Stormzy. What's happened to this. I thought we were getting a great middle line up and not as much spent on the top heavy acts Weller, stereophonics etc. I would have expected something as we had Johnny Marr, Ashcroft . dolevshelly
there are 2 big dance stages, some dance acts play other stages as well. dont worry about it. there is still volt stage that is a rock stage, europe stage, a38+ lower main. i guess they just annouce it little by little
opel
As long as we get Glass Animals, Foals and a few rock/indie acts in the next wave, I`m content. Tame Impala at Sziget - it`s gonna be legendary

From a UK-representation point of view (sorry, not being xenophobic in any way, just relating to acts I know outside of the top tiers) we had the following indie type acts. In 2019 we had: Richard Ashcroft, Johnny Marr, Frank Turner, Frank Carter, Franz Ferdinand, Razorlight, Idles In 2022: Inhaler, Black Honey, Fontaines DC I saw all of the seven acts mentioned from 2019. In 2022 I'll be watching Black Honey (despite having seen them 3 times before) and, perhaps, Fontaines DC. I've really got my fingers crossed for the next announcement!

Looking at it, perhaps they are trying to move away from the UK generic indie guitar acts. If you look outside the 2 top tiers, not as many acts from the UK. So looking at European acts to entice more customers from Europe. Perhaps numbers have been down from the UK. And, in hindsight, 2019 probably was quite unbalanced in that regard but it feels as though the shift has gone slightly too far the other way.....so far at least. Kensington sounds more like an UK band than anybody else on the lineup. There's also Viagra Boys to an extent and Iceage. You can check those out as well even if they aren't UK acts Edited February 22, 2022 by Nicklord
