So do we have any guesses as to who the other headliners will be? Praying they wont waste a slot on Marc D*maco
lessthanwill1
Has Mac D been pulled from European festivals? I thought he was on some of the line ups for European festivals in August? Can’t see him now. Other possibilities: Beach House, Sleaford Mods, IDLES, First Aid Kit, Super Furry Animals, Jon Hopkins, Little Simz. All of the above (baring SFA) are active at European festivals in August. Nick Cave is also very active but seems too big and also playing APE so very unlikely. EDIT: I guess you could also consider Fleet Foxes, King Gizzard and Father John Misty as well but seems too soon for either one of them to return. rug568
He's in Europe in June then his next date is in the US on the 27th/28th of August so I'd say it's quite unlikely he plays here

But I swear he was on the Paredes line up for 2022 at one point? If so, this suggest he’s not at GM this year.

Supposedly he's only doing one show in Europe this year; at the Barbican with an orchestra. On sale tomorrow so gonna see if I can get tickets... What's more, that festival is in Helsinki and he was due to play Flow in the same city in August last couple of years. So it seems, if he's not only not announced for stuff in August and is replacing with earlier dates that directly conflict, he won't be around Europe in August. Seems like great news for most here. Shazza was obviously at the last non-Covid festival but I don't think Angel has played since 2017 and I'm not sure Julien ever has! Either way both of the later two would be touring new-ish music. Gilgamesh69
When can people with the settlers pass enter? On the website it says the 16th, but thats a Tuesday so I'm wondering if they just haven't updated it yet because in previous years wasn't it Monday? I think they’ve just not updated that part of the website yet as you suggest.
lessthanwill1
Fontaines DC, Parquet Courts and Porridge Radio added to Oya Festival, which takes place 9-13 August. Would bet good money on Parquet Courts being at GM
_Tommy_
Judging by the start of 2020 (before the whole world went to...well you know), the line up was released Jan 29th, albeit with a ticket sale too, so really hopeful we get some info in the next week or two. lessthanwill1
First Aid Kit are in America during GM weekend so that’s one potential headliner ruled out.

benali
I posted it on the EOTR page on Sunday but never put it on here that Keg are definitely playing GM too. It will probably be the most fun set of the weekend.
lessthanwill1
Michael Kiwanuka, Jon Hopkins, Little Simz and Beach House would be ideal. Far out: Low, Parquet Courts, Bikini Kill. I think Ty Segall, Alex G, Viagra Boys, and Sudan Archives will be amongst the returners from the 2020 line up.
Guy Incognito
That would be a very impressive line up, even if JH and MK are a bit too boring for my tastes. Little Simz was brilliant at EOTR and on her most recent tour. Low headlining the Garden stage at EOTR was one of the best sets I've seen in my 5 years there. I feel like Bikini Kill are unlikely for that slot but I may well be proved wrong

The one fly in the ointment is if Little Dragon were contracted to headline - they've got nothing currently listed for the summer and it looks like they've abandoned the world tour they had planned from spring 2020 but for all we know could be ready for a new album. I don't know where Simz is on other festival bills this year but if playing I can see her as either sub-head to Kiwanuka or possibly headlining Far Out in an attempt to recreate the Self Esteem atmosphere. Ty Segall is in Europe around the time so it makes sense. I'll probably cry during the Low set if they play. They are easily my favourite band.
