Chances of Greenday, Blink or Paramore being there is pretty high right? Any of those would merit a day ticket from me.

Leaky chap says Green Day. I personally don't think they'd have more than 1 of the above in a given year and Blink are probably 2024.

It's 25 tomorrow, so it'll just be some limited edition thing they put out this year. I'd still rock up if they played Nimrod in full though, it's their third best for my money.

2024 American Idiot anniversary tour is gonna be a wild one.

Yeah, i live Nimrod but even if anyone doesn’t, it’ll be done in little over half an hour.

Green Day are probably the OG band of my childhood. American Idiot was probably THE BIGGEST song of year 7 in my school.

But they don't have many songs I enjoy to fill a set -

Basket Case, Good Riddance, American Idiot, Jesus of Suburbia, Holiday, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, Wake me up When September Ends

That's only 7 songs I enjoy from them.

Pretty common. Fontaines did Ally pally last year anyway

Those headliners are far too expensive i think.

Kendrick is the most expensive they've ever booked and that was 5 years ago come 2023 so will be even more expesnive now. Killers, Dua Lipa and Blink are all not cheap.

I think even with someone cheaper in for Blink thats still a pretty expensive lineup.

Amended it a bit, (arguably) cheaper undercard maybe compensates for the price of Kendrick etc.

However they did manage to afford AM, Dave and RATM in the same year - tho I appreciate Kendrick is probs a different level.

Friday

Kendrick Lamar / Loyle Carner / Rina Sawayama

Doja Cat / Becky Hill / Nothing But Thieves

Saturday

Dua Lipa / Playboy Carti / Self Esteem

Kasabian / The Vaccines / IDLES

Sunday

Blink-182 / Yungblud / Wet Leg

Royal Blood / Architects / Sea Girls

I doubt Dave is nearly as much as any of the MSE headliners you have here. Dua Lipa is far more expensive, Blink are charging £100 almost for standing and are on the reunion money train. I reckon Blink and RATM would be similar.

I think the MSE headliners weren't so much the problem, more that Doja, Kasabian and Blink as MSW alongside them was just tipping it over the edge.

I think there's a seperate golden standing section at the front which is even more expensive.

There is, yes, at about £20 more.

I found it annoying Depeche Mode had this at the London Olympic Stadium date on their last tour (something they also have for the Twickenham date announced for next summer) but for an arena it somehow feels worse, given the smaller space and standing area at these.

I think two tickets for Muse next summer was £150, just shy. £75 for a big outdoor gig with big production is fair enough I think, I'd even say for a big arena gig that's fair enough. More than that and it's something I'd have to really consider.

I find it genuinely annoying as someone who lives near Milton Keynes that the MK Bowl gig in Muse's schedule is £90+, at a more expensive price point than their Glasgow show.

I mean I'll probably still go - still my favourite band in a venue right on my doorstep, so I'm not having to fork out extra cash to go to London - but knowing that can't help but annoy me.

Outside chance of The Game as the old-school rap act (NERD, Nas etc)

Currently touring his new Drillmatic album starting December.

I think he’s too irrelevant* to the audience, like 50 Cent. I imagine he’d cost an exorbitant amount too so they’d just be better off booking someone like Carti or Don Toliver.

And before you start spitting out Spotify plays and YouTube streams or whatever, he absolutely is not as relevant as someone like Carti, for example. He just isn’t.

To add to his irrelevance, I’m an old coont, have been to every reading for years and I’m only vaguely aware of his existence yet alone unable to name a single song

I'm 30 and he's one of the old rappers of the industry, along with Nas, Pharrell, Snoop, 50 etc

He wouldn't cost much either, £30 at The Forum in Birmingham, which hosts other huge events such as Bongos Bingo and The Duallers.

Potential 1xtra?
