Another long shot but what about Blur? Doing shows next year and don't appear to be at Glastonbury. Long, long overdue a return to the festival. They have enough hits that the young crowd will know.

I wondered myself but can’t imagine they’ll do Wembley and Reading in the same year. Also, can’t believe tickets are £100+ for Blur, wild.

Yeah sounds about right. Usually R&L avoid booking headliners that are doing stadium shows elsewhere.

Shame because I'd be happy to fork out for a day ticket again if they played (as long as they didn't pull out like Rage did!). Glastonbury 2009 still remains the second greatest live performance I've seen by any artist and I'm sure they won't have lost it as a live act.

Same I’d gladly pay for a day ticket if they played but £101 for them and three supports I don’t like is too much, plus train and hotel. Shame as they’re probably the one big band I still haven’t seen that I want to

10 names I've been told are definitely there from a friend that works in the industry. He's interviewed acts and these have said they are in for next year (can't publish it until its officially released, but he's meant to tell people and get 'excited whispers & rumours rolling').

Paramore, Foals, Nothing But Thieves, Central Cee, Self Esteem, Don Broco, Loyle Carner, Yungblud, Idles, Wet Leg

Nothing gets me excited like Central Cee

Hope that’s true - I’d see 8/10 of those

Would be very happy with that. Foals and Paramore as a top two one day would be an easy day ticket for me.

Paramore x Foals

Green Day x Sam Fender

Controversial because Fender could easily do MSE but I can’t see him being the kind who demands very top billing. He’ll pull a massive crowd on either stage.

Think this is the one. Fender and Paramore could be either way round, but it'd have my ticket bought for sure

Doesn't make sense though regardless. Fender is doing 2 sold out stadium shows in Newcastle, TRNSMT, Finsbury Park this year + loads more. Paramore couldn't do even close

Yup, Fender will shift way more tickets for the festival than Paramore, who only ever co-headed in their pomp anyway and have been subbing / playing second on many US festival bills this summer

No real major surprises among those names, but still a solid list.

When Sam Fender next plays he's MSE headliner or nothing IMO. He comes across as a humble bloke but he's also the biggest name in UK music right now, already headlining TRNSMT, so no way the promoters give him anything less than that. Plus lord knows the promoters have been in need of a rock act to bump up in recent years.

I also think Paramore's stock has fallen somewhat for them to be MSE headline (at least over Sam Fender), After Laughter didn't perform as well as Brand New Eyes or self-titled, but they're perfect for the MSW headline slot. Can't see the festival having two "pop punk" headliners on MSE either.

It’s a difficult one because I see Sam Fender, Paramore, Billie Eilish and Green Day all as MSE headliners. Also odd what MGK said in London and Leeds if he’s not doing it.

If the rumours are true I’d like to see Green Day, Foals, Yungblud and Don Broco on the same day.

Green Day / YUNGBLUD / Don Broco would be a great time.

Paramore / Olivia Rodrigo / Rina Sawayama

Foals / Nothing But Thieves / The Vaccines

Billie Eilish / Playboi Carti / Central Cee

KSI / Aitch / Becky Hill

Green Day / YUNGBLUD / Don Broco

Sam Fender / IDLES / The Wombats
