Yeah best one yet I reckon, can see all of these happening

Cheers!

Also, to save doing a double post, this was my rough idea of placements for the acts I included, to me seems fairly reasonable - also done it baring in mind I reckon next year the acts on the Festival Republic will be a bit more mixed across the weekend, especislly with them dropping the names for The Pit and Lock-Up.

MSE: Billie Eilish / Playboi Carti / The Wombats / Holly Humberstone

MSW: Twenty One Pilots / Loyle Carner / Wet Leg / Turnstile / AJR

Dance: Patrick Topping / Ben Hemsley / LF System

FR: TBA / Sleep Token / Connie Constance

1xtra: Yeat / JNR Choi

MSE: Travis Scott / Central Cee / The Vaccines / Don Toliver / Waterparks / Baby Queen

MSW: Paramore / IDLES / Becky Hill / Sundara Karma / piri & tommy

Dance: Camelphat

FR: Creeper / Loathe / Orla Gartland / Matilda Mann

1xtra: TBA

MSE: The Killers / Blossoms / Aitch / Mimi Webb / Alfie Templeman

MSW: Doja Cat / Mabel / Don Broco / The Hunna

Not sure about Mabel in that slot. Might be wrong but surely Central Cee isn't a MSE sub ?

Rumours Cench is signing to Cactus Jack records and may potentially be a feature on Utopia (or have Trav on his next album), and I reckon he is only gonna get bigger between now and the festival, with him getting massive crowds literally everywhere he plays, incl Rolling Loud Toronto last weekend, sold out Ally Pally almost instantly etc - also would be a cheaper booking than Lil Baby that I had previously placed there, but almost certainly would draw a bigger crowd. Idk, just have a feeling he will be in a bigger slot than I'd initially put, something about it feels right to me.

Mabel was 3rd down MSE last time she was there, so to be 2nd down MSW makes sense, plus has had an album out since then too, and has only done an intimate tour so far in promotion of it.

done another poster purely out of boredom, hopefully re-sparks this thread a little bit again

Paramore or The Weeknd would be the two acts that would convince me to buy a day ticket with no debate over other days so I'd be getting a ticket. Other than Idles though all the other acts I'd be interested in seeing are on other days so I'd very bored.

Anne-Marie maybe for a big pop slot? Not my usual jam at all but I sat with a beer and some chips watching her this year on a whim and she put on a good show, nice lass.

Agreed, put her on the other poster I did, always puts on a fun show, and has a surprising amount of bangers to her name.

New Rina Sawayama further cementing her place as a future big name in pop. She'll surpass Charli at this rate. Much better live too.

Another great shout, definitely one of the more exciting pop names about at the moment for certain - looking forward to listening to the new album later.

I feel like Maneskin would have completely blacklisted from the festival after this year

nobody will give a shit about them come next summer anyway (most likely)

Not a Pendulum fan at all but that looks like alot of fun.

I'm just not sure where you would place them.

Dance headliner but they won't be back and booked there after playing that stage this year. would fall flat in the day on main stage

Init, would be a perfect fit as well for some other acts on the rise that are now too big for Dance stage like Fred Again..

It’s clear now after two years what a huge loss it is

Acts I saw when young seen play a proper, anticipated headline set in the tent as opposed to 40-50 minutes a 4-5pm in bright daylight include

98 - Travis, Super Fury Animals

99 - Mansun

2000 - Muse

2001 - Ash

2005- Kasabian, Bloc Party

All bands I loved at the time, providing a proper, big, alternative full set to what was on the main stage. A proper event as opposed to one of 14 dashes between stages

Thise who’ve not been pre 2021 don’t know what they’re missing

Completely agree, I know some of us go on about it quite a bit, but I've really found it to be such a major loss and 2021/2022 have ended up being in the campsite more than ever (despite still having enjoyable weekends).

Luckily without it we've been pretty lucky weather wise, but all it is gonna take is one major washout/heatwave for it to be even more missed and a shitshow - I don't necessarily mind if it doesn't come back in its full form again, but all I ask for is at least 1 other decently sized tent, really don't think it works well chucking acts that would've been on the R1 into either the Dance tent or one of the Main Stages, especially acts like Bakar and PinkPantheress who completely packed it out and had the Dance tent overflowing with ease. Hopefully something is considered in the future to sort it out for these sort of acts, also prevents as many smaller DJ's getting booked too, which I know I have certainly missed as well.

The 1975 in 2016 & Limp Bizkit in 2015 are still two of the best sets I’ve ever seen at Leeds. God I miss the big tent.
