He said something along the lines of “I hope to headline Reading & Leeds one day” rather than an proper confirmation.

The reason why I say it was pretty much a self confirm - he said it unprompted, out of the blue. I’m sure he finished the sentence with “we’ll see what we can do” or something similar. Very weird thing to say if you’ve not been booked to headline

It's R&L, it looks crap on the surface, an OG headline trio of Fender, Billie, Green Day are pretty good.

I'd be ridiculously aggrieved if I was literally any other urban act in the UK and KSI, the meme, was headlining a festival over actual serious acts.

KSI is a special guest at most. At least Megan Thee Stallion was a serious artist in her own right, despite being a poor booking.

There has not been a single ITK rumour of Paramore. Just a discussion of forum posters about Paramores new single.

Calm down man it’s just a festival speculation forum. To me and many other users we thought Paramore were very likely due to their relationship with R&L and their comeback. It’s not dumb to think they’d be a sure thing.

People speculate on here. That’s all they are doing. No need to get stressed about it.

Aside, if you told me a few years ago that R&L would miss out on both MCR and Paramore reunions I would think you were talking shite. If it’s true Paramore aren’t playing, what the hell has happened? Changes in decision makers up top? Losing contacts that could get stuff like this in the bag 10 or so years ago? Or maybe unfounded doubts about MCR and Paramore’s ticket selling ability? Or even worse, these acts don’t see R&L as worth it anymore?

R+L has always been a bit awkward for getting acts being in August rather than may/June.

Fully agree and yes this is a big factor- just think it’s interesting that R&L are now starting to miss bread and butter R&L bookings. Unless FR doesn’t consider them as much of a slam dunk as they used to be, and instead is focusing more on your KSI style acts that will get the GCSE leavers buying tickets.

We also don’t know MCR plans , the tour has been quite extensive been touring since May and it goes on till march

If the confirmations are true - Paramore could easily be booked to play the secret set and headline the year after

Neither will headline Glasto though, which would free them up for R&L.
