Fontaines over the weekend. The band of the moment, for sure. Sound so good/tight.

 

Headliners in the years that follow the fallow year, I suspect, pending another strong record.

Vampire weekend at Manchester apollo last night great fun crowd in good form .

Great set well over 2 hours .

Slightly strange encore of doing covers that crowd shouted out bit hit and miss .

But the main show was great

Hard-Fi at Leeds University Union last Friday were in very good nick, better than I must say I expected.

 

Paul Heaton on the Saturday at First Direct Arena was reliably excellent, as always, though I do wish that he had taken his short "hits" tour into the bigger venues.
