Would say that those dates nail her on pretty much 100%. The Acoustic Stage has quite a low budget, and no TV coverage to dangle as a carrot and so it's no coincidence that acts from that agency always feature heavily.
They did indeed cover it on their 1995 covers album Thank You.
It has sustained itself as a live fixture ever since, rather than simply made a comeback on the strength of Cocaine Bear.
