Saturday is pretty dry again, with the main rain down to the south. Big split in temperatures here for the south east and the rest!

Threat of rain in the early hours of Sunday, but nothing bad three days out.

What wins the battle here between the low pressure to the north and the high pressure to the south at the end of next weekend decide our fate!

It's on a knife-edge.

Feels like it’s always on a knife edge at this stage! These final ten days are the most exciting and the most excruciating.

WEDNESDAY - Dry, 21 degrees

THURSDAY - Dry 24 degrees

 

Low still pushed to the north west of the UK.

On the latest 06Z that lower pressure out to the west is about to bring us a a rainy weekend... I think

Wouldn’t say it was on a knife edge at all, clearly there is higher chance of good weather as it stands, with almost all forecasters agreeing. Would need to be a monumental shift now for a washout.

ECM model still predicting absolute carnage next Sunday through to Wednesday - basically non-stop heavy rain.  If this is true then it's definitely game over.

Festival days - much cooler than the last run, especially on the Sunday at 16 degrees.

Still overall a positive update this far out, and largely dry bar a few light showers.

 

FRIDAY - Small amount of rain around in the afternoon (blues are nothing to be worried about) - 20 degrees

 

SATURDAY - Very little rain around in the afternoon (blues are nothing to be worried about) - 20 degrees

SUNDAY - Little rain around in the morning (blues are nothing to be worried about) - 16 degrees

 

Higher pressure it taking control in this update.

That’s as far as the model had got at that time… More showing now… More rain Saturday and Sunday…

Just one model though, and way too early.

GFS runs in the morning afternoon seem to be showing a pattern of cooler wetter weather each run, whereas the later evening runs show better weather. It’ll be back to scorchio and dry tonight 😉

Blues / lighter blues are inconsequential.

But yes, it's way too early. I say this repeatedly in the updates so people don't get carried away.
