I have yes, but I've not been in "heat" for an extended period of time (i.e. more than about an hour) since the 2019 festival. Being out in it for 15 mins today (not as hot as it would be there) made me realise how tough it'll be. 

Anything over 22 and sunny, Im twisting. 

ok...I also don't want heat...but this run isn't that bad, certainly could be a lot worse, we could be what we're having now. What time you arrivng on Wednesday...you need to avoid queueing in the afternoon if you can. And Thursday I just would just find shade and have plenty of water. At moment the actual festival days don't look that hot so should be good for watching bands.

actually Friday looks quite hot on latest run, and saturday...but saturday could be some rain too. Just have to hope for cloud is temperatures get above 20...

I hate saying this but maybe summer festivals just aren't for you anymore. If you're unhappy with 22 degrees at the end of June then its gonna be really difficult for you. Especially with camping in a field with not much shade.

Max temps for wed/thu/fri are all about 22/23...min temperatures are a few degrees lower. Thursday looks the hottest day.

Friday being nice and warm and getting cooler into Saturday is lovely, Sunday still looks weirdly cooler than normal. Lets take 2 degrees off Friday and add it to Sunday.

We’re not out of the woods yet.  GFS still has rain for much of Saturday, albeit most of it light.  But yesterdays ECMWF had no rain at all all weekend, so we wait for the midnight run in a couple of hours to see if it still agrees with itself.

This is GFS at 3pm on the Saturday

By Saturday I’m not really fussed what the weather is. Them first 3 days are so important!

After the 18Z went so, so well last night, will the news be good again? Let's find out!

THIS WEEKEND

Some very, very light rain around. Virtually non-existent so essentially dry.

WEDNESDAY MORNING - GATES OPEN

Totally dry right through to now, temps of 18 at 9am.

 

So, let's start the high vs. low pressure roller-coaster!

Latest on the left, previous on the right.

It's a very, very similar picture through to gates open. But what will happen after this?

First days of the festival.

WEDNESDAY

Totally dry, highs of 22.

Very similar, but is the low starting to spin downwards earlier than on the last run? 😶

 

 

THURSDAY

Totally dry, highs of 24.

 

But no! On this run the high pressure is only getting stronger on this run! This could be a SCORCHIO update! 🌞

 

 

FRIDAY

Totally dry, highs of 28.

There is a bit of a fight back from the low, but it is definitely weaker than in the 18Z. 😀

 

 

SATURDAY

Unfortunately there's rain around through most of Saturday, highs of 28. Nothing too bad though and warm at 24.

The low pressure is now starting to make an impression - but surely too little, too late, to ruin things? 🤔

 

 

 

SUNDAY

Dry and temps of 19.

 

FULLY REPELLED! 🍾

The pressure is reduced, leading to the lower temps, but the low doesn't come in.

 

SUMMARY

I think some will want to twist here with highs of 28 on Friday.

But it's a second update in a row where the low fails to in against the high. So that is promising.

But it's still TOO EARLY and we remain on a KNIFE. EDGE.

Edit. Looking at the following weekend! Temps higher than that...21-23 on Weds, 23-24 on Thurs, 26-28 on Fri. Yikes.

yeah, that is too hot on Friday...we'll be praying for rain.

The GFS is still throwing us some curveballs on the midnight run. It has rain for much of Saturday, a dry start to Sunday but more rain by Sunday evening. But warm, temps up to 24 on the Saturday. 
The European and Canadian runs will be out by mid morning……

There's no rain on Sunday evening on the 00Z GFS.

Rain and 28 degrees is not a good mix. The rain will be warm, the ground will get churned up as Friday is the day more people will be moving around between stages.

28 is hot, but I'm happy to take this over rain.

maybe if we start getting more of these silly temperatures in early summer they'd need to move the festival to early june or end of May...?
