Yeah 2019 everyone was gearing up for a washout until like 4 days before then it just switched to Heatwave instantly😂 what a time to be alive on here , it’s like Diana’s death, everyone knows where they were when it happened

I actually think 2019 was worse this far out? I remember looking at thinking oh my life this is going to be a shift.

Good argument that the thrill of watching the GFS runs gradually support a bone dry festival was better than the actual festival itself

This was a GFS run from the Monday 17th (week before the festival in 2019) which goes to show how things can change...

It struck twice in 2020 and 2021, it can strike twice in 2019 and 2022.

This wonderful thread is like a psychological experiment. 

Emotions being swung based on pretty pictures that everyone knows have little to no bearing on the actual outcome. But it means everything.

I don't know whether the weather will weather me down.

It was.. Gavs first glasto video was pretty bad and from there it was all smiles, saying that I’m less confident this time 😂

BBC only valid for 10 days, after that is historical average...which is why 20th onwards is max 19 min 11 every day

Everything is fine. The Wednesday forecast is just 1.3mm of rain. That’s a tiny amount.  It’s also only going to rain for 1.5 hours.

The way I read these charts (based on no actual knowledge) is that it is likely to be dry for a week or so, with the temperatures getting hotter, seems good agreement on this. At some point around the 19th/20th there will be a breakdown, with some/lots of rain, after which it is anyones guess, but most likely cooler with a little rain (but not much).

I’ve seen that prediction. A fault line will open up on the North side of Pennards Hill and that field will sink 3 metres. 
 

The Glastonbury on Sea pier will be going out across a pond.
