There’s still time for you to apologise to the weather gods and allow them to bring the glorious sunshine to the farm.

If you feel homesick I’m sure someone can stand by you and pour water over your head.

Current GFS predicting an ungodly low pressure system hanging over British Isles on the weekend before festival and whole festival week. Not seen anything like it for years. POTENTIALLY biblical storms (!), more likely just constant unrelenting downpours as cloud systems will just circulate around us.

Unless something changes very soon it's game over, man. 97/98 repeat is a very real possibility.

Was about to say GFS 06z is a marginal improvement looking at Tues - Weds of festival week but Thursday / Friday is just as bad, so as you were.

Plenty of time for it to change. Some signs the low trough might be pushed north for week of festival after the initial breakdown.

06z Summary - goes up to Sunday morning

Very little to no rain between now and next Saturday

Saturday has low pressure moving in during the day.

Sat 18th - Friday 24th = unsettled / wet

Sat 25th = Dry

Sun 26th = Potential to be dry

We get to do this all over again 4.30 - 6pm this evening 👍

Damn, let's not get brought down by talk of covid.  For the record, whilst there is evidence of a slight uptick in cases we need to be clear that there has been a downward trend for 3 months now and we have dropped from 100k cases a day to less than 7000 in that time.  Even if it were super megatron-omigod strain there wouldn't be enough time for cases to reach any kind of concerning numbers before the festival.

How about we just forget about that and focus on the real issues at hand: Isobars and azores fingers.

As long as that finger has been washed for a couple of happy birthdays and doused in hand gel

There was lots of unsettled weather in the lead up to 2019 and without fail every rain band would head towards Pilton before abruptly turning the other way.

Until there are raindrops hitting the ground, I still believe in the Pilton force field.
