What is happening with Cypress Hill to make them headliners?

They played in 2017 and weren't even in bold on the line up - at least nine other names bigger than them. Seems like a very odd choice.

I expect some extra bigger names for this day.

Given his dates, LG and being booked last year, LG seems the obvious one?

Ken, this one day festival, is this made up of names that would otherwise have been in the Marquee/club on most years?

A few bands/DJs have said which stage they will be playing - pretty obvious but CDW is closing the Main and OATW said something similar.

A friend who's involved mentioned on FB yesterday that Shame, Geese, Yard Act, The Murder Capital and The Viagra Boys 'can all be seen in the smallest tent' so I'm guessing that's the Lift.

Rock names to satisfy Slipknot fans that pay 115€ for a day ticket?

Definitely makes sense them being a late booking. Someone on Festileaks saying that Paul Kalkbrenner was to be announced for the Friday but wasn't. Maybe they're holding off for a more fitting closer

Or they're waiting until CORE sells a few more tickets.

The lack of rock bands especially on the Slipknot day is really strange.

The lineup is stranger than usual, especially on friday for the reason you said, and not one of their best ones for sure. But for my tastes, there's still a lot of good things. I'm probably going to Paredes de Coura or Canela this year, but still haven't ruled PKP out 🙂

Friday a bit poor so far for me.

Saturday looking excellent, particularly the undercard. Happy that Wet Leg and Yard Act are both there, as in both cases I was too late getting tickets for their Amsterdam shows.

Sunday not bad.

Enough to count myself in again for this year.

Is it written into King Gizzard's record contract that they have to play every festival in Europe?

Must-sees Friday: Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul, Alex G, Soulwax, Slowthai, Slipknot (curious)

Must-sees Saturday: Little Simz, Tame Impala, Caribou, Arlo Parks, Kelly Lee Owens, Shame, Pinkpantheress, Wet Leg

Must-sees Sunday: Bright Eyes, Badbadnotgood, Sons Of Kemet, Diiv, Four Tet, Sigrid, Joy Crookes, Gabriels and I actually really like that last Oscar record so...

Monday for the 14th August line up? Bit soon for more additions to the main one.

When that extra event was announced last Saturday, Chokri did say that we'd learn everything about it "over the next 2 weeks". So either way we should be getting names for it next week.

Mostly curious how many of the expected Pukkelpop names will end up there. Liam G and Foals seem like a shoe-in.

2 names that would have tipped the balance for me going to Pukkelpop rather than not going. If it's a day with those types of names with the organisers thinking its the way to go by splitting the crowd, they'll have me not going to either event. Frustrating if it works out like that.

The Hives are playing in Italy The day before the new event, were booked for PKP 21 and have no other belgian date in summer.

They could fit well for +40 people.

Off the top of my head, Iggy Pop, LG, Suede, Foals, Battles, Parquet Courts, Bikini Kill all around in August with no other Belgian festival dates.
